Technical Information for Developers
Is there any change in the information received for Google Pay transactions?
When a transaction is completed via Redirection or iFrame and the customer selects Google Pay as the payment method, the parameters returned in card transactions are also returned on the results page, along with the following additional parameter (for informational purposes only):
PanCardType:
Indicates the type of PAN used in a Google Pay transaction.
- FPAN: The transaction was carried out using the actual card number (non-tokenized). In this case, the user is authenticated via the 3D Secure process, ensuring the transaction is secure.
- DPAN: The transaction was carried out using a tokenized card number corresponding to the cardholder’s card. In this case, the user has already been authenticated within the Google environment, and the transaction remains secure.
The Tokenization service does not apply to Google Pay payments. As a result, the Token, CardNumber and CardExpDate parameters are not returned in Google Pay transactions.
Is any technical implementation required to support Google Pay payments?
